Siobhan our Recovering Stampaholic is bringing us our card today. Today we have another butterfly although very different to Debbie’s one yesterday.
The stamp that Siobhan has used is from Magenta and is called Shadow Branch. The butterfly is a Magenta Chipboard and the background paper is also Magenta. The sentiment is from Jane’s Script the set has been made from Jane’s handwriting
Looking at this card makes me want to get my embossing powders out. The Hot Stuff Mat and Chipboard Shapes really make this easy and fun, (I remember when we were all scrabbling about cutting mount board to do this technique.)
Ink your chipboard with Versamark and then add several layers of Gold Embossing Powder using Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel helps to give good thick layers that you can then stamp into while hot. Just remember to ink up your stamp with Versamark so that the stamp will release easily. Siobhan has then added Pearl ex powder where the stamp had been to give a contrasting colour.
I think that this card as well as being lovely is a really good example of the joy that a stamp can give, to be able to create a beautiful work of art from a few little leaves on a branch, well you do need to have a bit of creativity and Siobhan has it in bucket loads, I must be pretty smart to have surrounded myself with all these clever people.
Siobhan has other examples of this stamp on her blog and has also been using her Crafty Edger this week, pop over and see what she has been up to.
Thank you for stopping in I am just off to make another card as I don’t like the one that I had prepared earlier, that is the problem with posting last.
If you would like to play along please use Mr Linkie at the bottom of Monday’s post. Thank you.

Sorry, the post did not schedule as planned on my own blog. I will sort it out tonight as I can’t get onto my blog at work. Although Dorothy did a pretty good job of explaining the techniques!!
