Woodware Challenge – Week 49 – Buttons and Bows – Day 2

The Pampered Stamper is bringing us her take on Buttons and Bows today and we have a double helping from Pam.  As you will know if you have visited Pam’s blog she is not only on our Design Team but also Dreamweaver and Stampendous which works really well for us as we distribute for them both in the UK, well this week I think Pam was having trouble deciding which hat to wear, so we have a card featuring Stampendous and a card featuring Dreamweaver.

The Rooster is a Dreamweaver stencil which Pam has coloured with paste

I like the way that Pam has blended the colurs on the bird. The hello comes from the Birthday Words Stencil

The bottom section at first glance looks as if it is patterened paper, but that would be far to easy for Pam. Pam has used the Dreamweaver Plaid Stencil with Matte Yellow Embossing Paste and then on top has used the Glossy Red Embossing Paste. Remember to let the paste dry in between coats. Then just glue the buttons on top, in a pleasing pattern. I think that the bright colours work really well on this card, the Plaid stencil is so useful for all sorts of backgrounds.

Next up we have the Stampendous Dahlia.

The Dahlia is a Stampendous Jumbo Cling stamp, Pam has stamped it and embossed with white powder. The embossing acts as a resist so that you can layer your colour underneath he stamped image, if that makes sense, if not Pam’s description will make sense  on the Pampered Stamper so pop over and see what she has to say!  I love the way that Pam has added that colour extending the flower head. This card shows that the Jumbo stamps are great for cards, at first glance you would think that they were too big.

The Button and Bows make a great finishing touch to the side of the card. The Dotty Organza is a great ribbon for all sorts of cards and these colours are very happy and bright. The button in the centre is from the Earthy Colours Buttons

Thank you for visiting today, I hope to see you tomorrow and please share your ribbon and bows creations with us. You will find out how here.

two beautiful cards. I love the bright colours. A “dressed” ribbon bow, plus a simple line of buttons are both simple, but really effective ideas. Thanks for the inspiration.
